Web Design – The main website needed updating to improve the user experience and encourage engagement with various tools. After testing and feedback, I updated the information architecture of several sections of the site while providing updated designs to clear up confusion and better guide the user through the website. In tandem, we further established the mobile website to be much more user friendly and easily accessed across devices. The improvements from this work allowed me to continue development of several other properties for some of the divisions.

Mailers – At the time, the strength of response in our mailer program was decent, but for the costs associated it needed to be improved. I was able to test a variety of designs to improve results, and grow parts of the business that were not performing, such as the storage services, by improving awareness.

Commercial Division – To provide some differentiation, I developed a sub-brand for the commercial division that would tie in with the main brand. We wanted a more professional feel with a focus on office moves, so we had to redefine the entire standards from imagery and typography, to graphic treatments and terminology.

Email Design – I took over email marketing while establishing changes to the website to coincide visuals and messaging. Through rapid testing and analysis, we were able to improve open and click-though-rates, provide an improved customer journey, all while utilizing graphic heavy visuals and staying out of the spam folder.

Recruitment Campaign – Recruitment efforts were waning during a time when truck drivers were getting harder to come by. In an attempt to reinvigorate inbound interest, I designed a cross-channel campaign. This included truck stop flyers, vehicle graphics, recruitment business cards and handouts, billboards, and a designated website. The influx of interest spoke for itself as we now had an abundance of applications to sift through.

Print Design – Over the course of my time, I designed a robust catalogue of print design pieces inclusive of co-branded opportunities, leave behinds, handouts, and signage. During this process, I was able to further along the visual brand as I improved on the strength of design elements and modernized the outdated look and feel of previous work.

Miscellaneous – In addition to everything else, we ran a variety of digital ad campaigns that I was able to design, test, and iterate on. I created our box character / mascot to utilize in child-friendly formats to help with the stresses on a child during moving. To encourage social media engagement, which was tricky as a moving company, I established more interactive gamification such as our “What’s in the box?” campaign which continued to bring in new followers and greatly increased our engagement.
